Not to be confused with Astrology, The  Lion (or Leo) starts at home with family (or Pride), where the Lion is the head of the family. Unlike other big cats, lions are very sociable creatures and live together. A majestic creature that holds its head high and caries itself with pride, passion, strength, and most of all dignity. The life of a lion and its outcome starts at home with the father (The Lion) and the mother (The Lioness). As a family the cubs are raised where a female cub has it much easier than a male cub. In most cases the female cub stays with the pride much longer than the male cub. The male cub is taught by the King to feed and protect is pride. At about two years old, the male cub is kicked out of the pride to become a King of its own. But what happens to the cubs when there is no father (or King) of the family (the pride)?

Hi There! I am Matthew R. Wright, born a Leo whos father was presently absent and raised by a single mother of three. The lion is not a symbolization of my upbringing, but rather a representation of my character that I live each and every day. Diagnosed with ADHD at a young age, I didn’t let “being different” define me. Like the lion, I hold my head high, stand strong in my beliefs and personality, walk with dignity, and have a passion for everything I do.

However, just like many others, for a long period of time I was like a lion who lost a fight. Beat up and walking through the jungle trying to find my way. Life presented hurtles and challenges that I was faced with, some at a young age. Some were easy to overcome and some I continue to work through in my adult life. From personal life growing up to my professional life in my adult hood. Addiction, dysfunction, and  devastating losses. A daily roller coaster of emotions to extreme manic depression and even attempted suicide. After 33 years of living in “normalized dysfunction” I created an outlet. A coping mechanism which not only benefits myself, but my hope is that it will help just one other person in this world lift their head high with pride, strength, and dignity once more. Welcome to my journey!

DON'T GIVE UP BY MATTHEW R. WRIGHT

COMING SOON....

Don't Give Up

A walk through my Journey.

A self published book series that was started simply to put my thoughts and feelings on paper.  A coping mechanism to clear the dysfunction and start to heal my mind, body, and soul from the toxic behaviors.

GOD DOESN’T GIVE THE HARDEST BATTLES TO HIS TOUGHEST SOLDIERS, HE CREATES THE TOUGHEST SOLDIERS THROUGH LIFE’S HARDEST BATTLES. AMEN.
